Dmitriy Shakhnevich represents clients in criminal cases, personal injury cases and matters in civil litigation. Prior to opening his own law practice, Mr. Shakhnevich’s career took him to two internships at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office as well as the offices of a former Brooklyn Homicide prosecutor turned defense attorney and one of New York City's most celebrated white collar crime attorneys. Mr. Shakhnevich also maintained an Of Counsel relationship with Bruce Cutler, the legendary trial lawyer whose former clients include John Gotti and Phil Spector.
In addition, Mr. Shakhnevich co-authored an article entitled, “The Nickel or Not: The Fifth Amendment Privilege for Individuals in FCPA Investigations,” published in Ethisphere Magazine’s Q3 2013 edition, and is an Adjunct Lecturer at John Jay College of Criminal Justice of The City University of New York. He has worked on state cases in all five boroughs as well as federal cases in both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Shakhnevich's work and expertise has been sought out by some of the most well-recognized publications and media outlets in the world, particularly in connection with the Conor McGregor UFC 223 Media Day Bus Attack.
Mr. Shakhnevich received his Juris Doctor from New York Law School and is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey State and Federal Courts.

Mr. Shakhnevich was also tasked with performing legal research for the drafting of a Defense Sentencing Memorandum in the United States government’s prosecution of an alleged mafia boss.
